Are You Soaring?

Which would you rather be an ant, a dog, or an eagle? Ants work their way through life caught up in the petty things of this world and never see there is more. They are easily squished by others and sting when they don’t get their way.
Dogs are followers who try to please important people and waste time chasing their tails. They perform quickly for a treat, but sleep their life away.
Look at interesting facts about eagles.

The strike of the eagle talon is so powerful that its force is twice that of a rifle bullet.
Bald Eagles can fly with 8 pounds of food.
There are approximately 7,000 feathers on an eagle.
Pound for pound, an eagle's wing is stronger than the wing of an airplane.

The most remarkable fact is an eagle can see up to one and a half miles away, thus the term “eagle eye.” Imagine sitting on your front porch and having the ability to see for a mile. What could you see?
We can be eagles. We can rise above the petty things of this world, stop following others, chasing our tails, and view life from a different perspective. Like an eagle floating across a baby blue sky, we can be free from the pressure of the world, and experience a heavenly view.
How do we soar? Grasp God’s view – love, kindness, peace. Read Proverbs. It will transform your view of life. Recognize the world’s requirement for success. If it demands selfishness, debt, dishonesty, or immorality, it’s not an eagle-eye view. Shake off the need to impress others and the addictions holding you down.
Imagine yourself floating through the sky far above this earth. Why be an ant or a dog? Soar through life with an eagle-eye view.

GABC EDUCATORS
Here’s a little song that’s fun to do.
You say, “I’m a special person and so are you.”
You say it with your eyes. Here’s what you do.
You say, “I’m a special person and so are you.”
Repeat using nose, mouth, shoulders, hips, knees, feet all over!
